SoftMotion为研华在设备自动化中的一项重要核心技术，相较于过去市面上ASIC运动控制解决方案，研华建立自主技术开发软件运动控制技术，并且透过FPGA与DSP作为硬件的核心运算平台，拥有非常大的未来性与扩充性；由于SoftMotion是建置在软件的架构上，不会受限于ASIC先天的规格限制，可针对客户所设计的机台为客户提供专业运动控制技术咨询，提供客制化固件以发挥设备控制的最佳性能，减轻客户在撰写程序的负担。

SoftMotion技术亮点

螺旋插补
Helical / Spiral Interpolation

设定的圆心/圆弧终点或圆弧经过点/圆弧终点与Z轴移动量来完成螺旋动作，可实现2+1轴的螺旋插补功能。

轨迹切向跟随
Tangential Following

Z轴运动的利用指令设定做出使特定轴顺着其运动轨迹的切线方向旋转，来达到切向跟随的功能。如下图所示，Z轴的运动轨迹会随着X-Y平面的圆弧运动的切线（切向）方向随时做调整，使其运动方向与圆弧的半径维持90度，达到切向跟随运动的控制，典型应用如裁布机械的刀具轨迹控制。

位置区间触发设定
Position Window Output

透过指令设定，可以在特定位置区间决定数字量输出。

速度前瞻
Look Ahead

为解决速度和精度的矛盾，提供基于前瞻处理的速度规划。使用者通过设定本身特征参数（脉冲当量、进给速度、加速度、允许拐弯时间等），结合运动控制的速度前瞻与处理功能模组，可实现小线段连续轨迹加工（如图中蓝线所示）。

电子凸轮
E-Cam

透过建立主轴与从轴相对应位移关系的表格，来实现主轴与从轴的相对运动关系，并模拟凸轮机构的运动，提供多个从轴对应主轴的运动模式。

电子齿轮
E-Gear

利用SoftMotion的演算法与参数设定，可达到多轴绝对同步的控制。电子齿轮即提供多个从轴可以对应单一主轴的齿轮比设定与控制。如此一来不仅可简化机构上的设计，以节省机构空间，又同时可达成绝对的同步控制。

龙门控制
Gantry Control

通过特殊的演算法则，控制运动中的轴与轴间之绝对位置误差在设定的范围内，以达到龙门控制的功能。
